Ronald Ibitoye, DDS
The journey begins at the University of Texas Medical branch with a Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy where he treats patients with cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) disorders. Part of his duties were to handle and treat breathing or airway problems such invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, administer aerosol medications, performing chest physiotherapy and airway clearance. After seeing many patients on life support in the intensive care unit and how inability to provide proper oral care extended their length of stay in the hospital, this experience provided a deep background of the complexities involved in oral health care treatment and importance of personalized care in dentistry.
Motivated by this passion and discovery. Dr. Ibitoye decided to pursue a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the prestigious Howard University College of Dentistry and graduated at the top of his class with three awards and recognition in Oral diagnosis, Radiology, and Emergency Care Practices. This rigorous program equipped him with necessary skills and expertise to provide comprehensive dental care to his patients. Dr. Ibitoye sees all patients of all ages from 0-99 years.
Dr. Ibitoye believes that he has a responsibility to provide exceptional care and to make his patient experience as comfortable as possible. His goal is to educate his patients and their families to make an informed decision and become partners in their own dental care. He actively participates in mission trips, and volunteer dental services to the underserved communities because he believes in giving back to the oral health community. He is an active member of RAM (Remote Area Medical) an organization based in the United States that provides free dental, medical and vision services in remote areas where dental, medical and vision care are not easily accessible.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ibitoye enjoys riding bicycles and spending time with his family. He understands the importance of work-life balance and cherishes the moments shared with his loved ones. Dr Ibitoye is a member of Houston Bicycle club and mentors the youth in professional development.
